In news likely to split some sections of the Blues support, Chelsea are prepared to let the impressive Ruben Loftus-Cheek once again head out on a season-long loan, despite expectations that he could be a part of the first team picture for the upcoming season (according to the Mail).

Chelsea are categorically not in the market to sell the 22-year old though, who is currently on international duty with England at the World Cup and has impressed when called upon in the opening two group games. However, the club may see the benefit of getting him out another season-long loan – if that will be to a Premier League club or not is unknown.

The Mail suggest that Loftus-Cheek has made it clear he would prefer another loan if he is to be used as a substitute next season, and would rather play week-in-week-out to continue the momentum he gained at Crystal Palace last season – which ultimately got him a spot in England’s World Cup squad.

The two clubs named in the report that are likely frontrunners to pick up Ruben Loftus-Cheek for next season on-loan are Crystal Palace once again and a seemingly more focused West Ham under manager Manuel Pellegrini. Blues fans will at least be encouraged by the fact the 22-year still has three years left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge so a permanent exit looks very much ruled out.

The Chelsea youth product scored two goals and assisted five for Crystal Palace last season, and already has one assist to his name for England in the ongoing World Cup campaign.
