Well there is finally a moment to be happy as a Chelsea fan this season. Granted, the game was meaningless and both teams aren’t playing for anything.

However, there were several times this season where we would have taken three points and I will gladly accept them this weekend.

Furthermore, Eden Hazard finally scored, not one but two goals.

Chelsea took the lead early on through Pedro. The visitors countered superbly with Costa finding Fabregas, who then found Pedro. The former Barcelona man neatly chipped it around the Bournemouth keeper and put the Blues up one.

The West Londoners would double their lead through Eden Hazard, who drilled a shot from outside the 18, following a neat layoff from Fabregas.

Bournemouth pulled one back in the 36th minute through Elphick.

However, the Blues would add to their lead through Willian. The Brazilian benefitted from a strong run of play, getting on the end of a perfect pass from Fabregas. Willian made no mistake, putting it over the charging Boruc.

Hazard doubled his tally in stoppage time as the Belgian got on the end of Matic’s cross.

Overall, it was a strong win for the Blues. It was much needed for both Chelsea and Eden Hazard. They finally rose to the occasion, with Fabregas playing one of his finest games in a Blue shirt.

It’s a good sign from Chelsea, who need to start to build a bit of momentum as the season winds to a close. Matic looked better on the afternoon and so did a few of their attacking players.

With only four games left, Chelsea should hope to win as many as possible and build some sort of a run as they enter the offseason.
