This was the first time many Blues had been to Valley Parade and it did not hold any surprises. A glorified Subbuteo ground, the stadium is a real throw-back to a by-gone age and the queue for the tiny gent’s bogs would have put the Millennium Dome to shame.
The game itself summed up our season. We did not play poorly, in fact, we played quite well. But our general performances are lacking that vital something.
Exactly what we are missing is a major talking point among Blues fans but yesterday it was our finishing.
At times the game resembled a turkey-shoot as we peppered their goal with shots. Unfortunately, most were well off target, with Flo and Poyet the major culprits.
In fact, as the first half wore on, most Bradford fans sitting above their goal hid behind their seats each time we attacked.
