Speculation regarding the future of Eden Hazard staying at Chelsea is likely to remain a constant throughout this season – at least until Real Madrid, who are most likely to entice him away, declare their stance on signing the Blues’ top goalscorer.
In quotes via beIN SPORTS, Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck has revealed his and the club’s stance on the future of Eden Hazard and hinted that the club may be willing to go the extra mile to ensure he remains a Blue;
“Every Chelsea fan in London and around the world loves Eden Hazard, and he’s not only a great footballer but I think he’s a wonderful lad. We want him to stay and we will do what we have to do to entice him to stay.”
The club face a huge decision next summer, should Real Madrid swoop, with Eden Hazard only having two years left on his current deal, and his apparent reluctance to sign a new contract until Madrid reveal their stance. Having started the season so spectacularly, Bruce Buck and the club’s hierarchy know that the Belgian’s value is as high as it ever has been.
Thibaut Courtois was a perfect example of this, leaving in the summer to Real Madrid in a deal that didn’t represent his full-value because the club risked losing him on a free next summer – the lesson has been learned and no doubt Bruce Buck and co won’t allow the same to transpire with Eden Hazard.
