Chelsea line up vs Arsenal once again in the Premier League on Tuesday, just three weeks since the Blues came from behind to win 2-1 in north London to secure bragging rights heading into the clash at Stamford Bridge.
Frank Lampard spoke to gathered press (on Monday) ahead of Tuesday’s huge Chelsea vs Arsenal clash at Stamford Bridge and revealed, via quotes in Sports Illustrated, that Reece James is a doubt but is being given ever chance of being fit;
“Reece is in contention but it will be a tight call, so will give him another 24 hours to try and recover fully.”
“So hopefully he will be fine for tomorrow but if not, then certainly for the weekend.”
In other Chelsea injury news, Marcos Alonso has reportedly been cleared and will be part of the squad for visit of the Gunners.
Lampard is expected to name Reece James in his starting XI if fit, so CFCnet’s predicted Chelsea line up will see the same back four that lost to Newcastle. The main change is Callum Hudson-Odoi coming out and Mateo Kovacic coming back-in.
Tuesday’s match with be the 200th time in all competitions that Chelsea line up vs Arsenal, with Frank Lampard’s side hoping that will be a good omen for the Blues to do the double over Mikel Arteta’s Gunners.
