Chelsea continue on the road in the Premier League after a fine comeback win at the Emirates on Sunday, with a New Year’s Day trip to Brighton – the Blues are seeking back-to-back league wins since this past October.

Frank Lampard is facing major injury doubts to four key first team players for the Chelsea line up vs Brighton, with Christian Pulisic, Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso and Reece James all potentially missing out.

Chelsea could once again put their trust in academy product Tariq Lamprey who barely put a foot wrong in the significant win at Arsenal, covering at right-back for both Azpilicueta and James.

Midfield is questionable, with CFCnet’s predicted Chelsea line up vs Brighton going safe with a strong looking line-up, but Lampard could freshen things up with inclusion of Ross Barkley and Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Similarly in attack, Abraham could be rested and Michy Batshuayi could be brought in, but it’s more likely the Belgian will come off the bench at some stage at the AMEX Stadium.

Predicted Chelsea line up vs Brighton

Goalkeeper: Kepa.
Defence: Tariq Lamptey, Kurt Zouma, Antonio Rudiger, Emerson.
Midfield: Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, N’Golo Kante, Willian.
Attack: Tammy Abraham.
