Chelsea will be looking to quickly bounce-back after a midweek cup defeat ended a the seven-game winning streak, but the Blues will fancy their chances against an ailing Watford side.
The trip to Vicarage Road in the late Saturday Premier League kick-off will see four of Frank Lampard’s key players once again miss-out through injury.
Frank Lampard confirmed via Chelsea FC Official that injuries will once again force Antonio Rudiger, N’Golo Kante, Andreas Christensen and Ross Barkley out, but that returns are imminent;
“He’s [Antonio Rudiger] going to see a consultant on Monday because he has an ongoing issue in his pelvic area which is bothering him. We’ll have to wait until then for a further update.”
‘He’s [N’Golo Kante] working with the team now and will possibly be ready for Ajax next week.’
“Ross [Barkley] is still not quite right but he’s not far away.”
“Andreas is pretty much fit as well but they just have to add the finishing touches in terms of the difference between being fit and match-fit.”
Callum Hudson-Odoi doesn’t make the CFCnet’s predicted Chelsea line-up vs Watford, instead hat-trick hero Christian Pulisic will be given the nod again after his memorable performance against Burnley.
