News coming out of Stamford Bridge on Monday night is that Callum Hudson-Odoi has ruptured his Achilles and looks set to miss the rest of the season for Chelsea.
The youngster was forced off just before half-time, being replaced by Pedro and was seen hobbling down the tunnel to receive treatment on his injury.
The potential season-ending injury comes after Callum Hudson-Odoi had started the last four games for the Blues and was being relied on heavily to help the club into the top four, as well as the upcoming Europa League semi-final against Frankfurt.
The suspected Achilles injury appeared to occur when the 18-year old controlled the ball in the first half of the 2-2 draw with Burnley – Blues fans can only wait and hope on official confirmation from the club.
England manager Gareth Southgate will be joining the Chelsea faithful in hoping the injury is not too serious, with Hudson-Odoi expected to be part of the Three Lions’ bid to win the Nations League this summer in Portugal.
