Having last featured for Chelsea back on New Year’s Day, Christian Pulisic’s injury woes have potentially hindered Frank Lampard’s selection, with the club struggling for consistent good form in recent weeks.
However, in a reveal to the gathered media via Chelsea FC official, manager Frank Lampard hinted that a return for the USA international could be the next Premier League game against Manchester United;
The [winter] break might have come at a good time, it buys us a couple of weeks.”
Of course you miss him. He’s a quality player and he was having a really good patch pre-Christmas. Others have to stand up too, but of course we’ll be happy when he’s back.”
The Blues are next in-action on February 17 in the Monday Night Football at Stamford Bridge, and it will be a boost to the whole squad if Christian Pulisic is back in the starting XI for the game against top-four hunting Manchester United.
With six goals and a further six assists so far this season, a return for the 21-year-old can’t come soon enough with the Blues on a run of just one win in five.
