Good afternoon Blues and welcome to Thursday’s edition of Chelsea Fresh, where we take a look at the latest Chelsea news, transfer rumours and anything else in between surround Stamford Bridge.

With the next game fast approaching versus Everton – there is expected talk regarding Chelsea target John Stones. The England defender has returned from International duty and according to reports, will be signing a new deal with Everton – that will contain a £36 million release clause.

This will be music to the ears of Chelsea Manager Jose Mourinho, who has seen three bids close to that fee rejected by Everton this summer. I am taking this with a pinch of salt right now though, due to the source of this story being The Daily Mail. But let’s see if anything more comes out about it, it could have some pace.

Meanwhile, sticking with transfer news – Paul Pogba has agreed a deal to join Barcelona in January. Chelsea have publicly been on the tail of the France International but if reports are correct from La Gazzetta Dello Sport, a deal has been struck between the Spanish giants and Juventus. Once again at this point, pinch of salt.

Imagine sharing a stadium with our closest rivals Tottenham? That would be hell right? Well get used to it as it may well be in the pipeline. Apparently FA Chief Martin Glenn has agreed to allow both clubs to share Wembley Stadium whilst there own new stadiums are being built, claiming that they have an obligation to get regular football being played at the National Stadium.

Finally – Thibaut Courtois is a doubt for Saturday’s match at Goodison and there are concerns that it could be for longer, after he suffered a knee injury during training.

However. this is the reason that we signed such a high quality back up keeper and Asmir Begovic will be more than ready to step up and stake a claim.

That’s it for now Blues but don’t forget to follow my Twitter here for the latest Chelsea news @cfcneteditor
