The games against the 23-time Swedish Allsvenskan champions will be the first time that the Blues have met the Swedes in any competition, but no doubt Maurizio Sarri will back his team as the firm favourites to get to the final 16.
Interestingly, Chelsea will be at their peak performance when February rolls around, with plenty to play for, while Malmo will have yet to start their domestic season – so fitness could play a huge part over the two legs.
Chelsea cruised through the Europa League group with five wins and one draw, while Malmo also impressed beating Turkish side Besiktas twice and only losing once.
