News coming in today is that Chelsea have reportedly been given the go-ahead to swoop for Napoli’s €50 million-valued defender Elseid Hysaj – that is according to the the Daily Star and Naples-based journalist Emanuele Cammaroto.

Maurizio Sarri’s Blues have been linked with the 24-year old Albanian for a number of month, but the stumbling block has been the value of the defender – a clause of around €50 million.

However, the journalist was quoted in the Daily Star saying that the negotiations will all lead to Chelsea finally landing Maurizio Sarri’s former player;

Hysaj is on the way out.”

Ancelotti is ready to let him leave, and Aurelio de Laurentiis didn’t appreciate the take it or leave it offer on the contract, as the renewal terms were too high.”

The goodbye is already on the agenda, the Albanian will go to his mentor Sarri.”

The potential summer ban for Chelsea could make the negotiations start suddenly, but Napoli want the €50m from the clause and not a penny less.”

The agent will try around €40m, but in the end they’ll meet in the middle at €45m.”

Former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has played Hysaj consistently this season, with 17 appearances to-date and the Naples club find themselves in second place in Serie A behind runaway leaders Juventus.

If Elseid Hysaj does sign for Chelsea it will be the third time that the Albanian has played under Maurizio Sarri and fans will be encouraged that the potential €50m-man will make an instant impact under the Italian’s guidance once more.
