The Blues travel north on Sunday in the live 4pm kick off in front of the Sky camera’s, with the hope of turning over a vulnerable Hull City side and extending their lead at the top.
After failing to take any real advantage from Manchester City being beaten by Burnley last weekend by only drawing at home to Southampton, Jose Mourinho’s side will be looking for a convincing win to put space between them and the closely following Arsenal and City.
Hull Tigers are currently sitting in 15th position on a dangerous 28 points and have failed to really show any sign of consistency this season. But with that said, they’re battling a tough relegation struggle in the league and need points badly if they are to stay in the top division.
Chelsea meanwhile are 6 points clear at the top with a game in hand, a somewhat healthy position to be in but will not be taking that for granted. Nothing short of a comfortable victory will be enough for the traveling Blues faithful as they look to re-stamp their mark on the Premier League after slipping in recent games.
Mourinho needs his main men to start performing again and showing those special performances that occurred so often at the start of the campaign. The likes of Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa and Nemanja Matic are considered as part of the main spine at Chelsea now, but they have all dropped off their games slightly of late and supporters are keen to see them get back to it.
Eden Hazard has been the main threat and flair for Chelsea lately and his energy, class, skill and creativity could well make the difference again on Sunday afternoon in what will be a tight affair.
