According to reports from the British press on Friday afternoon, Chelsea are looking in to the prospect of signing both Yaya Toure from Manchester City and Jorge Koke from Atletico Madrid in a deal that could be worth £64 million.
Various publications claim that Toure is becoming frustrated at City but Chelsea believe he still has a lot to offer and could be an excellent addition to their team.
Koke on the other hand is a highly rated young midfielder who is turning on the style in Spain at current and is seen as one of the hottest prospects around right now. Chelsea will use Filipe Luis as part of the offer for Koke as he wants a move back to Atletico after being left on the bench for the majority of the season.
Roman Abramovich has made it no secret that he intends to provide Manager Jose Mourinho with the tools to succeed this summer after crashing out of Europe prematurely this season. There will be a big budget available for Mourinho as well as expected players leaving to raise even more funds.
It could turn in to a mini overhaul at The Bridge this summer with plenty of activity, scouting and negotiations already going on.
There are a number of main targets on the list for Mourinho as well as backup options as the summer window fast approaches. Both Koke and Toure could now be realistic targets especially if Chelsea do go on to win the Premier League.
