Chelsea have named their price for Michy Batshuayi despite the player picking up a season-ending injury while on loan at Borussia Dortmund (via The Standard).
Of all the Chelsea players currently out on loan, perhaps none have performed better than Michy Batshuayi.
The Belgian forward has scored as many league goals in ten matches for Borussia Dortmund as he has in two years for Chelsea.
Batshuayi joined the Bundesliga side in January but his spell at the club was cut cruelly short after picking up an ankle injury last weekend.
Despite the injury, Borussia Dortmund have been impressed enough with the Belgian forward that they would be keen on signing the player permanently.
Chelsea have reportedly named their price for the player and it is claimed that Dortmund would have to pay as much as £50 million.
It’s a mighty transfer fee and one which would see a Chelsea make a decent profit on the £33 million they spent to sign the player back in 2016. If Dortmund are willing to pay that then it should certainly be considered but if not then Michy Batshuayi has proven in recent weeks that he could still contribute a lot to Chelsea.
