In an incredible reveal via the Express Sport, Chelsea or Arsenal have been named as the two clubs Paris St-Germain’s Brazilian star Neymar would pick if he were to make the switch to England.
Manchester City-led Pep Guardiola or Manchester United had always appeared to be more the speculated clubs that could tempt Neymar to the Premier League, but the Express state that he would never head north to Manchester ‘because he is in love with London’.
In quotes carried by the Express (via a source close to Neymar via the news outlet) it’s reiterated that London would indeed be the option should a transfer to England ever materialise;
“He loves England – but mainly London. He has been there three or four times in the last 12 months.”
“He says there is always something about London.”
“The last time he kept ringing me up and begging me to join him because he loved it so much.”
“He kept saying ‘this place is amazing, this place is amazing. He just loves London.”
Although neither Chelsea or Arsenal are mentioned directly, it would be hard to imagine any other club being able to splash out on the Brazilian in the capital – with Tottenham having a move strict wage-budget and are in the midst of financing their new stadium.
Neymar is under-contract at French champions PSG until 2022 and has started the season on-fire with four Ligue 1 goals in four matches.
