Chelsea enter the third round of the EFL League Cup on Wednesday against an in-form Liverpool at Anfield – a competition that the Blues haven’t won since Jose Mourinho was manager back in 2015 against Spurs.

Wholesale changes are expected on the road midweek before an undoubtedly more important meeting against Jurgen Klopp’s unbeaten Reds on Saturday at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.

One change that is expected, and may have been anticipated last week in the Europa League is Willy Caballero coming in for big money summer signing Kepa in goal for the Blues.

The defence is likely to see a frustrated with game-time Gary Cahill slot back in to central defence, partnering Danish international Andreas Christensen. Zappacasta and Emerson are likely direct swaps for César Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso.

Willian and Jorginho look to be the remaining names on the team sheet that started against West Ham at the weekend in CFCnet’s predicted Chelsea line up vs Liverpool.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, another who was expected to feature in the Chelsea starting XI last week in Greece, is this time expected to replace Eden Hazard who endured a frustrating time out in the Premier League this past Sunday.

Victor Moses, Danny Drinkwater and Nathan Ampadu could also feature on Wednesday at Anfield.

Predicted Chelsea Line Up vs Liverpool

Goalkeeper: Willy Cabballero
Defence: Davide Zappacosta, Gary Cahill, Emerson, Andreas Christensen
Midfield: Jorginho, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ross Barkley
Attack: Willian, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Alvaro Morata
