For the first time this season Europa League football comes to Stamford Bridge and Chelsea take on Hungarian side MOL Vidi (Videoton) in the second match of Group L.

Having won the competition in the last time they featured in it, back in 2013, Chelsea will be hoping to get things off to as smooth as start as possible. Back-to-back wins in the group would certainly go a long way to freeing up the focus on the Premier League campagin in which Chelsea appear to be challengers this season.

Maurizio Sarri must rotate ahead of a tricky away trip on Sunday against Southampton and players like Willy Cabballero in goal and Victor Moses in-place of top goalscorer Eden Hazard are expected changes in CFCnet’s predicted Chelsea line up vs Vidi on Thursday.

Ross Barkley is once again expected to slot into midfield to partner fellow England international Ruben Loftus-Cheek, with Cesc Fabregas also tipped to get a start.

Victor Moses who was a second-half sub in last weekend’s draw with Liverpool is expected to come in, while Pedro and Alvaro Morata will make up an attacking trio to take down the Blues’ Hungarian opponents.

Chelsea starting XI could very well be thrown a late surprise and many Blues fans would like to see players like Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ethan Ampadu around the match day squad vs Vidi.

Predicted Chelsea Line Up vs Vidi

Goalkeeper: Willy Cabballero
Defence: Davide Zappacosta, Gary Cahill, Emerson, Andreas Christensen
Midfield: Cesc Fabregas, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ross Barkley
Attack: Pedro, Victor Moses, Alvaro Morata
