Chelsea are seemingly ramping up their transfer plans ahead of the next available opportunity to buy players, be that in January or certainly next summer – when the ban officially ends.

The Sun are reporting via GloboEsporte that Chelsea had scouts in Brazil watching Bruno Guimaraes who currently plays for Athletico Paranaense – better yet was that the Blues represnetiatves got to see their targeted player score the only goal of the game.

At 21-years-old Bruno Guimaraes has been dubbed a wonderkid and has been on the radar of Chelsea for a while now, infant this will have been the fifth time he’s been scouted in-person by the club.

The defensive midfielder has already played 23 club games this season, scoring four and assisting two and better yet for Chelsea is that he has a £36 million release clause, which shouldn’t prove too much of a stumbling block.

However, Chelsea are expecting to be among a number of ’top clubs’ in the running to sign Bruno Guimaraes – so Frank Lampard and the hierarchy will have to pull out all the stops to convince him west London is the place to continue his career.
