Chelsea have had just one player named in the PFA Team of the Year in a side dominated by Manchester City.
As is often the case with the PFA Team of the Year, the team which wins the Premier League title often dominates the best team.
That was the case last year when Chelsea won the title – David Luiz, Gary Cahill, N’Golo Kante and Eden Hazard all got spots – and is the same this year too.
The 2017/18 team has been announced and champions Manchester City have no fewer than five players on the team.
Kyle Walker, Nicolas Otamendi, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero all get spots for Pep Guardiola’s men.
As far as Chelsea are concerned, just one Blues player gets into the side, Marcos Alonso.

The Spaniard takes Danny Rose’s player at left-back after another excellent attacking season for the Blues.
It’s always interesting to see which players are rated highest by their peers. The PFA Team of the Year is something which every football fan keeps an eye out for and it’s good to see Marcos Alonso getting credit.
