Frank Lampard makes his Premier League bow as Chelsea manager at Old Trafford vs Manchester United on the first Super Sunday of the season.
The confirmed Chelsea line up vs Man Utd is in and it’s a chance for players such as young stars Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham to step up in the absence of Eden Hazard and in the face of a transfer ban, to go and make a statement of intent against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s bid spending side.
New signing Christian Pulisic will have to make do with a place on the bench as will N’Golo Kante who is still feeling his way back to the Chelsea line up after injury.
The last time Chelsea and Manchester United faced off on the opening day of the Premier League was back in 2004, when a certain Jose Mourinho kicked off his first spell as Blues boss, picking up a debut 1-0 win thanks to striker Eider Gudjohnsen.
