All eyes are back on Chelsea as Frank Lampard leads out the Blues for the first time at Stamford Bridge on Sunday against a Leicester City side tipped to potentially break into the top six this season.
The one worry for Chelsea is whether or not Andreas Christensen will be fit enough to start against the Foxes, after picking up an injury in the Super Cup defeat on Wednesday, the club will assess the Dane at the last minute, according to BBC Football – this could land Fikayo Tomori with his first start for the club, in what could be another youthful starting XI.
Willian will be another pushing for a start after seeing Pedro play a whole 120 minutes on Wednesday, but Pedro is likely to be given the nod, but this one is far from certain, especially if Lampard wants to keep it fresh.
Christian Pulisic is definitely in the CFCnet predicted Chelsea line up vs Leicester, with the American doing enough against Liverpool mid-week to win a spot in the starting XI.
The big question is who will start up-front against Leicester? Olivier Giroud’s goal in the week should see him edge Tammy Abraham on a performance basis, but if the plan is to attack with tempo, Lampard could opt for the Englishman from the off at Stamford Bridge.
