Frank Lampard has the opportunity to quickly brush off Sunday’s Premier League defeat to Manchester United with the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday from Istanbul in Turkey – the opponents are only arch-rivals and Champions League winners Liverpool.

CFCnet’s predicted Chelsea line up vs Liverpool looks a little different from the one that started at the weekend, but it’s the subs that came on in that game that are likely to get the nod against Jurgen Klopp’s men – in come Christian Pulisic, N’Golo Kante and Olivier Giroud.

More positive news is that it’s been confirmed that both Willian and Antonio Rudiger are with Chelsea for the UEFA Super Cup, with both set to make the bench in what will be a major boost to Frank Lampard’s hopes of winning his first silverware for the club as manager.

There’s potentially a spot for Marcos Alonso to come back in to the side on Wednesday, but CFCnet have gone for Emerson to retain his place, but rotation may very well come into play here as Leicester await on Sunday in the league.

Kick-off for Chelsea vs Liverpool in the UEFA Super Cup is at 20:00 (UK) on Wednesday 14th August.
