Chelsea have been told to pay upwards of £20 million if they want to sign Andy Carroll from West Ham United (via The Guardian).
Victor Moses was the last player to swap Upton Park for Stamford Bridge after spending the 2015-16 season on loan at West Ham but there could soon be another player joining that list.
Andy Carroll has been strongly linked with a move to Chelsea with rumours of a loan deal touted.
Now, reports suggest that West Ham would not be happy with a short-term deal and would instead prefer to sell the 29-year-old outright.
A fee of £20 million is touted for the player who hasn’t scored more than 10 Premier League goals in a single season since 2010-11.
Carroll joined his current club, West Ham on a permanent deal from Liverpool back in 2013 and has struggled with injuries in recent years.
There’s no doubt that Andy Carroll can be a massive annoyance to defenders and is certainly a good player when on top form. However, those patches of good form are far too spread out for a club like Chelsea.
