Chelsea have officially unveiled Gonzalo Higuain on-loan until the end of the season after agreeing a deal with parent-club Juventus.
 
Gonzalo Higuain spoke via Chelsea FC and revealed the Premier League is a competition he’s always wanted to play in;
 
When the opportunity to join Chelsea presented itself I had to take it. It’s a team I’ve always liked that has a lot of history, a wonderful stadium and they play in the Premier League, a league I’ve always wanted to play in.’
 
I now hope I can give back that trust Chelsea have shown me out on the pitch. I can’t wait to start and I hope to adapt as soon as possible.’
 
Chelsea also have an option to buy Gonzalo Higuain for £31.3 million at the end of the season. On top of that Chelsea can also extend the Argentine international’s loan agreement to stay at Stamford Bridge until June 2020 for an additional £15.6 million.
 
The 31-year old striker is eligible to play for the Blues starting from the FA Cup fourth round tie against Sheffield Wednesday, his signing did not come in time so that he could play in the Carabao Cup semi-final 2nd leg.
