Chelsea have seemingly done all they can in terms of finances to land their top striker target in the next window, but are set to be rejected, with Barcelona to win the race based on a better likelihood of winning silverware.

Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martínez has offers on the table from Chelsea, Barcelona and Manchester City, according to Spanish news source SPORT, but the Argentine striker is set to snub the Premier League giants for Catalonia.

The 22-year-old wants to win the Champions League title according to the report and views Barcelona as the best club to do so, with Man City likely to be banned from the competition, and Chelsea seemingly a little way off lifting Europe’s top prize for a second-time in their history.

The report also states that Barcelona believe everything is on track for Lautaro Martínez’s arrival and they are seemingly confident of beating off better financial packages from Chelsea and City.

Inter would likely prefer the deal from Chelsea or City in terms of finances, but Lautaro Martínez’s clause means it will be out of their hands with Barcelona’s offer.

It’s said that Martínez would earn around €10 million-a-year at Chelsea with the offer on the table.
