A transfer story developing in Germany may yet feature Chelsea as the lead, with news source BILD (via Calciomercato) stating that Borussia Dortmund’s USA international Christian Pulisic is being targeted by Bayern Munich.
 
The 20-year has emerged as one the top young wingers and has become a leading player for his international side, as well as Dortmund in the previous few seasons – making over 70 appearances since signing for the club in 2016.
 
Chelsea are aware that the Christian Pulisic has a contract that runs out in 2020 and that Dortmund are keen to extend it. However, with potential moves from clubs such as Bayern Munich and even rivals Liverpool, the Blues may capitalize in one of the next two transfer windows and sell the US international that the next step of his career is at Stamford Bridge.
 
Contract talks between Pulisic and Dortmund are expected to be initiated in the new year, according the report, so it could be in January that more from this potential transfer develops – no doubt if Bayern Munich are allowed to negotiate, Chelsea and their Premier League rivals will be encouraged to do so also.
 
Blues fans will like the stats side of Pulisic’s game – with 15 goals and 24 assists combined in competitions like the Bundesliga, Champions League and Europa League, all at the age of 20.
 
A little known-fact about Christian Pulisic is that if he were to move to Chelsea in the future, it would be his second stint of playing in England, having been a part of a youth team at non-league Brackley Town for a single season, before continuing his football educations back in the States.
