Chelsea fans are seemingly loving life with a plethora of young academy talent breaking through under the guidance of club favourites Frank Lampard and Jody Morris – that coaching staff could be bolstered by another returning favourite.

According to a report via the Birmingham Mail, from quotes taken from an interview with YouTuber Frank Khalid, John Terry has swung open the door to a possibility of a return to his former club.

In response to Blues fan Frank Khalid’s question about returning to help sure up the defence at Chelsea, the former captain responded in good humour;

One day.”

For Frank’s first season at such a big club like Chelsea, it’s been fantastic for him. But to have the likes of Jody [Morris] and Joe Edwards around him, who know the academy really well – there’s been so many positives this year. Really pleased to see the lads doing so well.”

John Terry is currently employed as the assistant manager at Aston Villa and is playing his part to help the club avoid relegation back to the Championship – whether that position will change at the Midlands club next season, should relegation occur remains to be seen.

Terry is one of the most decorated Chelsea stars in history, with five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, a Champions League and a Europa League win, to name but a few pieces of silverware that the former captain delivered at the Blues.
