Chelsea face Stoke City at the Bridge in the 17:30 Saturday match with 3 points absolutely vital. The Blues can go top, albeit for a day, and put pressure on Liverpool, who play West Ham on Sunday.
Chelsea will have to put a disappointing week behind them in this potential banana skin. Stoke City are a very well organised and fit team and Mark Hughes has done well to guide them to 10th in the table. They are currently on a 3 match winning streak and have not lost in 5. The Potters have already beaten Chelsea , at the Britannia in December, although they lost at the Bridge 1-0 in the FA Cup.
Chelsea will be confident of getting all 3 points as Stoke have lost their previous 7, at the Bridge and not scored in 6 of those. The key to winning this one is to score early and then Mouinho’s men should win comfortably, but the lack of an early goal could see the home faithful getting frustrated.
Chelsea have no new injury worries, Eto’o is not quite ready and Ramires sits out his last game of a 3 match ban. I expect Chelsea to line up with Cech behind the usual back four, Matic and Lampard holding behind the front four of Willian, Oscar, Hazard and Torres. The latter has looked out of sorts again and will surely seek pastures new in the summer. Meanwhile Stoke will be without ex Blue Huth who has a recurring knee problem.
Chelsea have six games remaining. If we can win all 6 then we have a great chance.

Liverpool host both Man City and Chelsea in the coming weeks and that is probably where the title will be decided. However I have a sneaky feeling Crystal Palace will have a say in matters. Both Liverpool and Man City must travel to South London and I would bet that they wouldn’t return with 6 points.
The games are coming thick and fast again and Chelsea’s season rests on the next 4 days. A confidence boosting 2-0 will win against Stoke will set us up nicely for a 3-0 win on Tuesday …
