Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has been speaking ahead of the midweek Premier League clash with Aston Villa the visitors, and the subject top of the agenda was the availability of striker Tammy Abraham.

Speaking to the official Chelsea website, Lampard revealed that there is a chance the England international will be back to replace Olivier Giroud, but it’s going to be a close-call;

We will find out more today and tomorrow.”

He needs to get outside and move a little bit outside over the next two days.”

Villa will certainly be hoping that Tammy Abraham doesn’t make it back in-time to play on Wednesday, with the Midlands club knowing first-hand how dangerous the 22-year-old can be in-front of goal – Abraham scored 26 times for Aston Villa on-loan, en route to promotion last season in the Championship.

Abraham suffered a hip-injury in last week’s Champions League 2-2 draw with Valencia, with the Blues striker so far netting 10 times in the Premier League, his absence was sorely felt in the 1-0 defeat to rivals West Ham at this past weekend.
