Chelsea’s pre-season thus far has shown Frank Lampard a mixed set of results, but the confidence boosting 2-1 victory over Barcelona on Tuesday will have shown the new boss that they are finding their sharpness at the right time.

The new Chelsea boss hasn’t been afraid to try out most of the players at his disposal this summer, with youth and previously ‘unwanted’ players potentially forcing their way back into contention for Lampard’s first season at the helm

However, according to the Express, the Blues boss has already decided who’s out at Stamford Bridge and the club will work towards facilitating their exits – be it on loan or as a full transfer away.

The most high-profile exits expected over the coming weeks are Tiemoue Bakayoko, Lucas Piazon and Matt Miazga. The latter is expected to re-join Reading after a loan spell last season. Other younger players such as Trevor Chalobah, Lewis Baker, Jack Clarke-Salter, Izzy Brown and Dujon Sterling are all reportedly set to be moved on.

For those definitely staying, or so the report says, Blues fans can expect to see first team appearances from Mason Mount, Reece James, Tammy Abraham and even Michy Batshuayi who looked to have absolutely no chance at Chelsea.
