Chelsea fans will be looking at a Tweet posted today by the official Inter Milan account, that has revealed star striker Mauro Icardi has been stripped of the captaincy and that goalkeeper Samir Handanovic take the armband instead.

More changes are afoot at Stamford Bridge this summer, with the likely departures of players such as Eden Hazard and the need for more goalscorers at the club.
Mauro Icardi, the 25-year old Argentine international striker, has seen contract talks break down between himself and Inter Milan, and has been left out of the club’s Europa League match this week. So does this mean Mauro Icardi is Chelsea bound? Possibly, but there’s certainly not going to be any shortage of interest.
Real Madrid are one of those clubs that have long been linked with the striker, who this season has banged in 15 goals in 28 appearances, including four in six Champions League group matches.
Chelsea should view Icardi as a player they just have go in for, if he is now available and Inter Milan are prepared to entertain offers – while he does have a contract until 2021, he has scored 122 in 208 outings for Inter, an impressive haul.
