An area of the pitch that Chelsea are visibly working on improving is at the back, and the latest transfer reports on Monday morning suggest that a deal for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly is edging closer.
Its been reported that Napoli President Aurelio de Laurentii is fuming with his player for his words regarding a move to Chelsea and has also threatened the Blues with legal action.
But this is seemingly just driving the deal forward with the player not responding well to the anger. And today Gazetta dello Sport from Italy are reporting that the London Club are readying a £24 million offer for the 24-year old Senegal International.
Antonio Conte is said to be the driving force behind this pursuit knowing the player well from his time in the Serie A.
