Good morning Blues and welcome to Friday’s transfer news update from CFCnet, where we take a look at the latest potential arrivals, departures and done deals at Stamford Bridge this summer window.
It’s been a busy 24 hours of rumours surrounding Chelsea and first up we have another update on Pedro. It appears his lowered release clause is attracting interest from other Premier League clubs and Liverpool are said to be interested as they look to replace Raheem Sterling.
Unfortunately for them however, Pedro has already stated that he wants to play Champions League football, which keeps Chelsea firmly in the driving seat.
Next up, according to British press, Tottenham have offered Chelsea £8 million for winger Victor Moses. It was thought that Mourinho has plans to integrate Moses back in to the first team squad, but could he be tempted by the offer? We’ll see.
Filipe Luis looks all set to return back to Atletico Madrid within the next few days, according to The Mirror, thus leaving the door open for Chelsea to complete the signing of Baba Rahman from Augsburg. The Ghanaian International is a sought after young product and is apparently keen on making the move to Chelsea.
Roma are also showing an interest in the 20-year old versatile defender, however it is still thought that London is his preferred choice of destination.
Aleksander Mitrovic was thought to be close to joining Newcastle, however Chelsea are looking to hijack the deal and move in for the Serbian International themselves, according to UK Journalist David Woods.
The 20-year old striker is valued at £15 million by his club Anderlecht and is more than capable of bagging many goals. Personally though, I see no more here than just a rumour.
Finally, some news of the young Brazilians. First up, Wallace is set to be going back out on loan this season in the shape of Serie A new side Carpi. The 21-year old spent a season out at Vitesse last term and is now expected to be competing in the tough Italian top tier. A good move for him and Chelsea.
And now the man who has been touted as ‘the new Neymar’ Kenedy, the highly rated 19-year old attacking Brazilian, is finally set to be officially revealed by Chelsea as a new signing for £6.5 million from Fluminense, and is expected to join up with the squad on their North America pre-season tour.
That’s it for now Blues, but remember to follow my Twitter here for the very latest Blues news @cfcneteditor
