Reports in France suggest that Chelsea have initiated contact with Ligue 1 side, Nice over their star midfielder (via Sport Witness).
Tiemoue Bakayoko may have moved to Chelsea just last summer but it seems that the club are already looking at potential replacements for the midfielder.
The former Monaco man just looks completely bereft of confidence and is not playing well right now.
As such, it seems that the club is looking at some other potential partners for N’Golo Kante with reports in France suggesting that the Blues are heading back to Ligue 1.
l’Equipe claims that Chelsea have initiated contact with OGC Nice over a potential transfer of the club’s star midfielder, Jean-Michel Seri.
Seri has been one of the standout midfielders in France for several seasons and was heavily linked with a move to FC Barcelona just last summer.
That fell through and reports in France claim that the Blues have swooped in for the player who is rumoured to be valued at €40 million.
If Tiemoue Bakayoko doesn’t live up to his talents at Stamford Bridge then it’s clear that Chelsea need some reinforcement in central midfield. Jean-Michel Seri is an excellent player and would certainly tick most of the boxes for the Blues.
