Chelsea and France international Florent Malouda could be on his way out of the club this summer as Santos vice-president Odilio Rodrigues has confirmed talks have taken place between the Brazilian club and Chelsea.
Not surprising news really with Chelsea looking to bring in some of the hottest talent around, whilst reducing the age of the squad. It looks like there will be no room for Malouda and a move seems inevitable.
Malouda has been a good servant to Chelsea and is highly respected by the supporters, but a recent loss of form as seen him slip out of favour with the Chelsea coaching staff, and he will welcome a move away now in order to gain first team football.
The 32-year-old had been heavily linked with Vasco da Gama, but the Peixe appear to be leading the race after it was reported that Malouda had had dinner with Luis Alvaro Ribeiro, the president of the Sao Paulo club.
In his early thirties now, Malouda will be seen as dead-wood amongst a talented squad, especially with new signings Marko Marin and Kevin De Bruyne both being top aspects on the wings.
