Good Morning Blues and welcome to this midweek news update from CFCnet, where we take a look at the latest Chelsea news, transfer rumours and anything else surrounding the Stamford Bridge Club.

First of all, news of a new 60,000 seater stadium broke yesterday as plans were officially submitted and the picture revealed of what it will look like.

The application, which involves the demolition of the 41,600-seat stadium and other buildings currently on the site, will be examined by the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The council have set a deadline for comments on the application of Friday, 8 January 2016. The club say that the planning process will last beyond the end of the season.

In a statement on their official club website, Chelsea said that the new stadium would see “facilities improved for every area” and offer an “outstanding view” from every seat in an arena “designed to create an exciting atmosphere”.

Meanwhile, Fichajes are back on the Eden Hazard bandwagon since the apparent dispute regarding his playing position became public. The Spanish publication claim that Real Madrid are ready to stump up £82 million for the Belgian International, a fee that they are claiming Chelsea WILL accept.

I am pretty adamant that Hazard remains part of Jose Mourinho’s plans at Chelsea, but nothing would surprise me here and I am sure this is not the last we will be hearing of this transfer, especially when you take in to account the above story and how much this new rebuild stadium will be costing Roman Abramovich!

Finally, former Blackburn striker Nikola Kalinic could well be on the short-list of Chelsea as they search for new forwards to bring in this January. The Fiorentina striker has scored 9 goals this season in Serie A and has caught the eye of a number of clubs.

The 27-year old Croatian international is a towering figure at 6ft 2in and is a real number 9. He has got 8 goals for his country and was prolific at youth level.
