Good Morning Blues and welcome to Tuesday’s edition of News Updates from CFCnet, where we take a look at the latest Chelsea news, transfer rumours and anything else surrounding the Stamford Bridge club.

First of all, it has emerged that Monaco are not keen on taking Radamel Falcao back in January and wish him to fulfil his season long loan at Chelsea. Monaco would have to pay his full wages if he returned and that’s said to be around £265,000 a week!

Falcao has been injured since October but has failed to make any impact since arriving in the summer. Chelsea were keen to offload him back to his parent club in January, to make room for potential new strikers but they could be forced to keep him.

Meanwhile, Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has confirmed himself that he turned down a chance to join West Ham in 2002, speaking in an interview he said…

“I was in Guingamp at that time, I’d just arrived at the club and they came to my house and spoke, but it didn’t happen. I wasn’t ready to go.”

Well well, imagine what COULD have happened and how the history of football especially at our club could have been all so different if that move went through! Thank god he wasn’t ready and decided on Chelsea.

Finally, a story from The Mirror suggests that Chelsea are interested in signing Manchester United target Thomas Muller, despite the German International’s high price tag of over £75 million, that was apparently quoted to United in the summer.

The 27-year old Bayern Munich Forward has been a public target for the Red devils but the publication are claiming that Roman Abramovich is ready to dig deep in order to bring in some real fire power up top for his beloved Blues.

A pinch of salt is certainly needed here baring in mind this publication are linking just about every other striker with the club. I genuinely feel though that there will be a big signing made this January in terms of a striker coming in, as it is visibly and desperately needed.

That’s it for now Blues but don’t forget to follow my Twitter here for the very latest Chelsea news -> @cfcneteditor
