The reason why N’Golo Kante didn’t play for Chelsea against Manchester City has been revealed (via The Mirror).
It was strange not seeing N’Golo Kante in the Chelsea starting lineup on Sunday evening.
The Blues lost 1-0 to Manchester City as Chelsea slipped further away from the top four and Pep Guardiola’s men came one step closer to winning the Premier League title.
The Blues were humbled by Guardiola’s men and as the widely-reported clips of the match have shown, the team was certainly missing the sort of energy in midfield which N’Golo Kante could’ve provided.
For those wondering why he didn’t play, it has been revealed that the Frenchman fainted at Cobham Training Centre and was immediately treated by medical staff.
Reports suggest that his fellow players were given a scare by the unexpected incident but that Kante has made a full recovery and trained on Monday this week.
Let’s hope it was nothing serious and that N’Golo Kante can get back to playing football. It was clear to see on Sunday afternoon just how important the Frenchman is to this Chelsea midfield.
