Maurizio Sarri has dropped a big hint that Eden Hazard will return to the Chelsea line up vs Crystal Palace on Sunday. The Italian manager spoke to reporters in his pre-game press conference (via Chelsea FC);
“Yesterday Eden had a large part of the training with the team.”
“Maybe he will not be ready to play for 90 minutes at the moment, because it was the first training in the last two weeks, but probably he will be able to play for 40, 45 minutes.”
“I will speak to him before deciding whether he starts. For us it’s important.”
Jorginho is expected to be dropped from the predicted Chelsea line up on Sunday and be replaced by Ross Barkley who has now scored three goals and chipped in with three assists in his last three Premier League fixtures. Having been benched for the midweek win over Derby, the Englishman is expected to get the nod here at Selhurst Park.
Maurizio Sarri is tipped to give Alvaro Morata another game up-front, despite the Spaniard failing to score against Derby. However, his performance against Burnley last week will have impressed the manager.
Willian is likely to start ahead of Pedro who made an appearance mid-week, while the first team defensive names are set to start after the rotation in the League Cup.
Predicted Chelsea Line Up vs Crystal Palace XI
Goalkeeper: Kepa Arrizabalaga
Defence: Cesar Azpilicueta, Antonio Rudiger, David Luiz, Marcos Alonso
Midfield: Jorginho, Ross Barkley, N’Golo Kante
Attack: Willian, Eden Hazard, Alvaro Morata
