CFCnet’s predicted Chelsea line up vs Tottenham on Tuesday in the Carabao Cup semi-final 1st leg at Wembley looks like a strong one.
One notable and likely inclusion is set to be Callum Hudson-Odoi who Chelsea now seem to be doing everything they can to ensure he stays, amid a flurry of bids from Bayern Munich. The manager Maurizio Sarri spoke in the pre-match conference (via BBC Football) suggesting the youngster is now considered a first team player;
“He’s very young. He has a very great future here, in England, with the national team and with Chelsea.”
“We have very important players in the same position. [But] I think now he is ready. Sometimes he will be on the bench, as Willian, as Pedro. Now I can start to consider him at the same level.”
It’s also expected that injuries to first team players have cleared up meaning that the likes of Pedro, Willian, Olivier Giroud and Mateo Kovacic are all in-contention to for the Chelsea starting XI vs Tottenham.
CFCnet’s predicted Chelsea line up has Pedro, Hazard and Hudson-Odoi all starting as a front three but it could easily end up being Morata coming back in after his two goals at the weekend, with Eden Hazard and a toss-up between Hudson-Odoi/Pedro/Willian.
