The Spanish national team have revealed the extent of Alvaro Morata’s injury after suffering a hamstring injury (via The Metro).

Premier League football is taking a small recess for the international break but that doesn’t stop the news from coming in.

One man who has perhaps been more important than anyone for Chelsea this season is Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard has scored 7 goals in his first 9 matches for the club in all competitions but his good run of form has been put on hold.

The forward was called up by the Spanish national team but has since been replaced in the squad after picking up an injury.

The Spaniards take on Italy and Albania in their World Cup qualifiers but the former Real Madrid man will miss both matches.

It has been confirmed that Morata will be out for around two weeks which could make him a doubt for Chelsea’s next Premier League match against Crystal Palace on 14 October.

Morata’s injury is a blow but with the international break scheduled, it has come at the best possible time for Chelsea.
