Well, what can we say about yesterday? There are a couple of things really – Ray Winstone comes to mind for starters – in a piece on the BBC yesterday, he blamed Peter Bonetti for England going out of the 1970 World Cup, saying that Bonetti must have had Scottish blood running through his veins. Well, Mr Winstone is a West Ham fan – so that must mean that Robert Green has to be a Scottish descendant too. It looks like Mr Winstone has not only eaten all the pies, but his words too.
Like me, did anyone else miss Steven Gerrard’s goal as well? ITV HD – it’s the way forward!
Anyway, here is the Official Line – 13 June 2010.
For starters, England got their World Cup campaign off to a start last night in South Africa against the USA. For anyone who didn’t see the game you can read about it by clicking on the Official Line Link Here and reading about how Ashley Cole, John Terry and Frank Lampard acquitted themselves. The score ended 1-1.
Following on from John Terry and Deco, John Mikel Obi’s season is summarised. Ray Wilkins again gives his comments about Mikel’s season – I enjoy Ray’s comments, they sound like a school report.
Last but certainly by no means least Branislav Ivanovic kicks off his World Cup campaign today with Serbia as they play Ghana. Kick off is at 3pm BST. Ivanovic had a brilliant season with Chelsea and is looking to transfer that form to The World Cup. You can read about by clicking the link. Ivanovic: Ready And Raring To Go
