Good Morning Blues and welcome to Wednesday’s Transfer Centre from CFCnet, where we take a look at the latest Chelsea transfer rumours during this January transfer window in the second edition of a regular news piece from this site.
First of all, news of a youngster leaving the club. You probably will not have heard this name being mentioned all too often but you will be aware of Ulises Davila, a highly rated Mexican youth International who has been at Chelsea since 2011. Of course he has spent his whole time out on loan and now at the age of 24, has joined Mexican side Club Santos on a permanent deal. Good luck Ulises!
Meanwhile, the press have taken advantage of the fact Gareth Bale has gone public with his unrest about former Manager Rafa Benitez being sacked and asking for re-assurances from new Coach Zinedine Zidane, by linking him with a move away from Real Madrid once again.
This morning it is various sources suggesting a potential swap deal involving Bale joining Chelsea and Eden Hazard going the other way, could actually happen. I certainly would not be adverse to signing Bale, but Hazard being let go will surely be a decision that will come back to haunt us?
It looks like the Alex Teixeira saga is close to being over as the player looks set to be Chelsea’s first signing of the season from his club Shahktar Donestk. The reports are suggesting that the £30 million deal is all but done with the final stages being put together.
The Brazilian attacker has scored 22 goals in 15 matches this season and will be a much needed addition to a Chelsea side who’s attackers have been surprisingly goal shy so far this term, all bar leading scorer Willian.
Chelsea are back in for John Stones once again and according to an over night report from Fichajes, Roman Abramovich has driven another £44.2 million offer in the direction of Everton for the England International centre back, who is a wanted man across world football.
So far Everton have kept a firm grip on their superstar but with interest hotting up and the player himself wanting to move, how long can the Toffee’s keep that firm grip as it loosens by the day?
