Good Evening Blues and welcome to Friday’s Transfer Centre from CFCnet, where we take a look at the latest transfer rumours from Stamford Bridge as this window draws to its conclusion.
First of all, following on from the rumours that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is considering moving for Tottenham Manager Maurizio Pochettino, the former Southampton boss has said that he has no interest in leaving Spurs and is very happy at the club.
Whether there was anything in this rumour in the first place or not, I am not convinced. But Pochettino has made his stance clear for now. And why wouldn’t he want to leave? His team are genuine title contenders, which is more than we can say for our beloved Blues this season!
Next up, according to The Mirror, Chelsea are set to offer Loic Remy as part of the deal for Jamie Vardy in an attempt to sign the England International before the deadline on Monday.
A pinch of salt on this one Blues, I can’t see an substance to this story at all. But I would be surprised if Remy is still at the club come Monday.
Finally, Gary Cahill will not be going anywhere and is part of Chelsea’s plans, this according to Manager Guus Hiddink, who also confirms the club are still expected to sign Alexandre Pato even though there is no rush, and new defender Matt Miazga will be a part of the first team squad.
