Welcome to the January deadline day Blues and it seems that the Chelsea camp may well be rather busy this afternoon/evening.
We’re all well aware of the potential deals happening but there has been certain complications. However, it seems that Wolfsburg are on the brink of a press conference to announce the singing of Andre Schurrle. The fee is still unconfirmed although it has been said that the stall in negotiations were down to Chelsea demanding a fee of around £49 million. It will soon be confirmed.
This should then trigger the signing of Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado to finally go through as Chelsea await the fee from the Schurrle deal. There were also some complications surrounding that deal due to Mohammed Salah going the other way on loan. It was thought that his medical was taking some time to go through but that has all been finalised now.
There are also some whispers that Chelsea could make a late bid for West Ham forward Enner Valencia. It is thought that Chelsea scouts have been watching him since the World Cup and want extra re-enforcement’s for their surge towards the title. It’s been reported that West Ham are looking to bid for Swansea striker Bafetimbi Gomis, if that happens it could open the door for a Valencia to Chelsea deal.
