Good evening Blues and welcome to Thursday evenings transfer news update from CFCnet, where we take a look at the latest potential arrivals, departures and done deals at Stamford Bridge this summer.
So it appears the left back saga its nearing it’s end as Baba Rahman has all but joined Chelsea, according to his agent. He confirms that his player has agreed personal terms with Chelsea and the deal is expected to be officially completed once the clubs confirm a price.
With Augsburg having already captured a replacement for the 21-year old full back, Chelsea are set to complete the deal. Mourinho would like it done before the Premier League starts on Saturday in an ideal world.
The last ‘Baba’ we had at left back was Nigerian Celestine Babayaro… Remember him!?
Meanwhile, Roberto Martinez has claimed that Chelsea’s interest in John Stones has ‘affected’ the player, also known as ‘the player wants to leave’! With two bids already rejected and another ready to come in, will Martinez be able to keep hold of one of his best young talents? Time will tell.
According to The Metro, Chelsea are in ongoing talks with Cagliari about completing the £10 million signing of midfielder Godfred Donsah.
The 19-year old has burst on to the scene in the Italian league and has attracted interest from a number of top clubs, including Arsenal. Merely just a rumour here though….
Finally, the Salah situation is close to finally being revealed, even though Mourinho has said that he is in the dark about any deals. The Egypt International has changed his bio on Twitter to being an AS Roma player and wrote ‘done’ on his profile, suggesting that his loan move to the Serie A side is complete.
That’s it for now Blues, but remember to follow my Twitter here for the very latest Chelsea news @cfcneteditor
