Good evening Blues and welcome to Thursday evening’s transfer news update from CFCnet, where we take a look at the latest potential arrivals, departures and done deals at Stamford Bridge this summer.
Once again the rumour mill has been spinning fast these last couple of days regarding Chelsea activity. John Stones has been the hot topic after Chelsea have had another bid rejected, this time for around £26 million.
Everton apparently want over £30 million for the England International and Chelsea will wade back in with an offer that will match that. Both Manchester clubs are also said to be monitoring the situation and could potentially move in with offers for the hottest prospect in England right now.
An update on Alex Telles, who is thought to be the main target to replace Filipe Luis. His club Galatasaray are conceived to the fact that they will be losing their young Brazilian full back and have put a £7 million price tag on his head, which is very healthy looking for Chelsea.
Telles is rated highly and is a huge talent who is being monitored by a number of the top European clubs. £7 million for a talented young Brazilian is a real coup should it happen.
A couple of new names for the apparent shortlist now. Faouzi Ghoulam is targeted by Arsenal and apparently Chelsea as well now.
The 24-year old Algerian International is apparently another option to replace Luis at full back and his club Napoli are reserved to the fact they could be losing him this summer.
Finally, the Italian press are reporting that Chelsea are keen on signing Lazio winger Antonio Candreva. The 28-year old Italy International is a high flying winger who gets goals from midfield, perhaps something Chelsea have been lacking and relying solely on Eden Hazard.
Candreva has been over looked for the captaincy at Lazio, and could be keen on moving to the Premier League.
With Juan Cuadrado’s future still in doubt, there is every chance we will see another winger arrive at Stamford Bridge this summer, but only when/if they sell the Colombian.
That’s it for now Blues but don’t forget to follow my Twitter here for the latest Chelsea news @cfcneteditor
